Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is a Nigerian lawyer and media personality from Okija in Anambra State, Nigeria.
Who knew that the 7th housemate to be evicted in the first ever BBnaija show would come back after 11years to host the 2nd edition. Big Brother Naija 2017 host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was a housemate in the 2006 edition of the show.
He remains one of the most visible among the housemates of the first edition of Big Brother Nigeria. Though he did not emerge winner, the show did turn his life in a completely different direction.
According to him, he said “Ah! This Big Brother matter. You know I was on that show some years ago. So many things have happened since then. Anyway, the show did turn my life in a completely different direction. I had not really thought about working on television until then. The first job I got was a Guinness sponsored show called ‘Friend or Foe’. It was a game show that ran for 2 seasons. I loved every minute of it even though it was a learning experience. It helped me understand how tough working in the media can be. I only saw the glamour up until that point”.
I used to read his article on Thisday newspaper, a veteran writer, with a column name, YNaija. He commented on various issues from pop culture, politics, and lifestyle.
He also a compere and usually hosts Guinness related events. Safe to say he is the most successful housemate from his edition of Big Brother, easygoing with an affable nature.

To many Nigerians that have negative thought thinking Big brother Naija promotes immorality and licentiousness, you may have a rethink with Ebuka’s success story.
