Exclusive: How CCTV camera and a brave security man brings a notorious armed kingpin to justice (pics & video)

There is a general saying in Africa ” everyday for the thief and one day for the owner.

A notorious kingpin in the South east of Nigeria met his waterloo when he confidently rode with his gang in a Toyota camry model car, followed an unsuspecting man to a bank in Owerri.

Unknowingly,The CCTV footage installed at the bank (Zenith bank) recorded the  robbery attack. The bank was located at Wetheral Road, Owerri, the Imo state capital. The four man gang came into the bank premises brandishing guns and firing indiscriminately, customers and passersby scampered onto safety.

There were different reports that many were wounded or killed, the gang members managed  to make with the loot from their target.

Fortuitously, a very brave security personnel put paid to the field they could have had by engaging them in a fire fight. He killed one of the gang members who was lying dead motionlessly

The CCTV captured the suspected ring leader Justice Ogbonna, aka, JJ, as his gang arrive the bank during the attack on the said day.

It was  gathered that the ring leader together with his driver, Okechukwu Onwuamaegbu during the deadly operation were eventually arrested in Aba, Abia state during the activities marking his father’s burial.

They are both helping the police with investigations at the Imo state police command in Owerri.
